Description

Factor's House in Dougalston, Milngavie, is an 18th-century building constructed from ashlar stone. It features two storeys and a raised rusticated basement. The facade has three sash windows, with the principal floor windows adorned with alternate triangular and segmental arched pediments, and a triglyph frieze above. The building has moulded stone eaves and a hipped slate roof. On either side of the roof, there are pentices that extend down, with doorways positioned symmetrically. Inside, the house includes some good plain panelling. At the rear, accessed through an outbuilding, there is a domed ice house.
