Description
Boghall is a detached country residence built in 1907 by T. Andrew Millar from Glasgow, designed in a 17th century baronial style. The building is two stories high with an attic, constructed of snecked rubble featuring broached ashlar dressings.
On the east side, there is a Claypotts style entrance tower that curves from a corbelled base to a square top, which includes a mullioned and transomed tripartite stair window. The south elevation has three windows and two catslide dormers. The lower west range has an added rectangular bay, five first-floor windows, and both bipartite and tripartite catslide dormers. A service wing is set back to the north. The residence has a steeply pitched slated roof, crowsteps, and corniced stacks.
