Description
The dovecot at Deersland Farm, formerly known as Kennox Stables, is a two-stage structure with a square plan, believed to date from 1835. It is situated in the southeast corner of the courtyard walls of Deersland Farm. The lower part of the dovecot is constructed from rubble with droved quoins, while the upper part is likely made of brick and finished with lined concrete render. The south face features twelve pigeon holes arranged in three rows, set within a round-arched niche that has a keystone, along with concrete platforms. The upper stage also contains similar pigeon holes, and there is an alighting ledge around the top of the first stage.
