Description
Kennox Cottage is an early 19th-century, symmetrical single-storey, 3-bay L-plan former lodge to Kennox House, which has a later single-storey addition at the rear. The exterior is made of painted rubble with contrasting painted margins, featuring raised cills and moulded architraves. Above the timber entrance door, there is hoodmoulding. The front elevation has bipartite windows with vermiculated stone mullions, and the entrance door is panelled with a hoodmould above it.
The other elevations have non-traditional glazing in the casement windows. The cottage has a piended roof covered with grey slates and tall wallhead stacks.
The interior was comprehensively modernised as of 2008.
