Description
The dovecot located at the rear of Lodge Farmhouse is a structure dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built from pinkish-brown local brick and features a stone band along with a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is covered with slate and topped with a hexagonal wooden cupola. Each face of the dovecot has blind oculi, and there is a blind Venetian window that faces the garden front of Lodge Farmhouse. Inside, the original dove boxes in brick are still present, although the dovecot is now used for storage.
