Description

This is a mid-18th century cottage located on the north side of Drury Lane in Helperby. It is constructed of reddish-brown brick and is two storeys high with three bays. A band runs around the first floor, interrupted by the ground floor windows. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is covered with swept pantiles. An external chimney is located at one end. The central entrance features a six-panel door and a 19th-century wooden porch. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within flush wood architraves, and are unequally hung on the first floor.
