Description

Valley Shop is a former shop and cottage, now functioning as a cottage, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of pinkish-brown local brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two bays. There are steps leading to a central entrance that has a six-panel door and an oblong fanlight with glazing bars set within an architrave. To the left of the entrance is a bow window with glazing bars and a modillion cornice, while to the right is a small square shop window bay. An additional door is located at the far right. The windows are shallow segmental arched 16-pane sashes, set in flush wood architraves, with painted lintels and cills.
