Description
43, 45, and 47 North Lindsay Street in Dundee is a 1932 Art Deco style warehouse designed by Gordon and Scrymgeour. The building features a reinforced concrete frame with a front made of cast stone, brick, and cast-iron panels. It has steel-frame border-glazed windows, with the upper parts pivoting.
The front elevation consists of two storeys and a Mansard attic, arranged in six bays. The outer bays contain doors set in cast-iron frames, each accompanied by a large window and an armorial inscription reading 'JM & Co Ltd'. The inner bays are marked by brick pilasters, with three windows in each bay. Decorative cast-iron wave and fluted Art Deco motifs are present between the floors.
The rear elevation is simply rendered and includes large windows.
