Lloyds Tsb Bank, 55 High Street, Lochee, Dundee

Lloyds Tsb Bank, located at 55 High Street in Lochee, Dundee, is a two-storey building designed by David Baxter in 1903. The bank features an impressive ashlar Baroque frontage, with the south side constructed from hammer-dressed rubble.

The street elevation consists of three bays. The central bay has a three-light ground floor window with fluted Ionic mullions and wrought-iron railings. Above, on the first floor, there is a single light window set within a consoled broken and open segmental pediment, which has a cartouche inscribed with "Dundee Savings Bank." Flanking the central bay are engaged giant composite columns and rusticated pilaster strips that support an open pediment. Each side of the building features single curved bays. The entrance has open and broken segmental pediments above arched doors, with a mask keystone on the left and single-light windows on the right. The first floor is adorned with round-arched windows that have keystones, and the building is topped with a dentil cornice and a balustrade.

On the north elevation, there are architraved windows, with four corniced windows at the ground floor and three on the first floor, all featuring a cill course. A wallhead stack is also present.

The interior of the building is modern.
