Description
This is a semi-detached villa built around 1850-1860, featuring a symmetrical design with two storeys and gabled roofs. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings.
On the south elevation, the central bay is flanked by two prominent gables. Each gable has canted bays that extend through both floors and are topped with pierced parapets, while there are blind slit windows above. The steep gables are accentuated with corbelled skewputts and lozenge-plan stacks at the apex. The one-bay wings are set back and include porches with pierced parapets in the re-entrant angles.
The east and west gables are similarly designed, featuring blind slit windows and twin lozenge-plan stacks. A two-bay service wing projects to the north. The villa is topped with slate roofs, and the windows are sash and case style with original lying-pane glazing throughout.
The property is enclosed by rubble-built boundary walls, which include pedimented entrance lintels.
