Description
Attributed to James Black, circa 1840. 3-storey, attic, basement
and sub-basement, classical terraced town house on falling ground. Cream sandstone ashlar, stugged to basement, rusticated to ground floor, rubble to rear, grey slate roof. Band course to ground floor, cill band to 1st and 2nd floor, eaves course; margined windows to basement, architraved and aproned to 1st floor, architraved to 2nd, 2-pane timber sash and case glazing to basement and ground floor, original 12-pane pattern to upper floors; canted dormers.
FRONT ELEVATION: panelled door to centre approached by steps oversailing basement, window to left and right, 3 windows to 1st and 2nd floor, 2 rooflights and 2 dormers; door and 2 windows to basement.
REAR ELEVATION: door to sub-basement, 3 windows to each upper floor.
INTERIOR:
RAILINGS: spear-headed iron railings to steps and area.
