11 Market Street, Stranraer

11 Market Street in Stranraer is a later 19th-century, two-storey house with an attic, featuring a simple rectangular plan and facing the seafront. The exterior is constructed from grey squared and snecked bleached whinstone, accented with red sandstone ashlar dressings. There is a cill course beneath the first-floor windows and moulded surrounds to the openings.

On the north elevation, the entrance is located to the outer left, featuring a block pediment with a pilastered doorpiece and a foliated tympanum. The door has been replaced, but a letterbox fanlight remains. Above the entrance, there is a single window aligned on the first floor. To the outer right at ground level, there is a bipartite window, with a single window above it on the first floor. The roof includes a gablehead dormer with exposed rafters.

The windows are plate glass timber sash and case, with a single window in the dormer and a Velux rooflight. The roof is covered with grey slate and features stone skews, along with a coped gablehead stack to the outer right that has circular cans. The property also has cast-iron rainwater goods. The interior was not seen in 1997.
