Description
These are a pair of late 18th-century cottages located at 45 and 47 Victoria Street, Kirkpatrick Durham. They are single-storey and have three bays each. Number 45 is constructed of rendered and painted rubble, while number 47 is of painted rubble with a basecourse of boulders. Each cottage has a central doorway flanked by 12-pane sash windows. The cottages have slate roofs and corniced end stacks. Number 47 has modern dormers at the rear. These cottages are designated as a group with numbers 50-54 Victoria Street, reflecting their shared historical and architectural significance.
