Description
The building is a two-story house, dated 1813, with its main facades facing Walton Road and St David’s Street in Kirkpatrick Durham. It is constructed of painted rubble with polished stone detailing on the corners and around the windows and openings.
The facade to St David's Street originally comprised a pair of two-bay houses. It features paired central doorways, though the doorway on the right is now blocked, flanked by four-pane sash windows. The first floor windows also have 12-pane sashes. An elliptical panel on the first floor is inscribed with the date 1813 and Masonic symbols.
The Walton Road elevation is three bays wide with a central doorway, sharing similar details and glazing as the St David’s Street facade. The roof is hipped and covered in slate, with a stone ridge and skews, and features a corniced wallhead stack to the north.
A single-story lean-to addition is present on the rear elevation to the north.
