Description

A 17th-century burial enclosure, likely dating from circa 1673, is situated adjacent to the west gable of Kirkpatrick Fleming Parish Church. This enclosure serves as the burial place for the Graham of Mossknowe family and is constructed of ashlar. The rectangular plan features an architraved doorway on the west side, with an inscription panel positioned above the entrance. A distinctive quoin detail is present – plain, square bosses are set back from the corners. The enclosure is topped by a moulded cornice and is accentuated by ball-finialed piers at each corner, which are interconnected by a balustrade.
