Description
Hartfield Tower is a ruin dating to the late 18th century, possibly designed by Alexander Stevens. It is a picturesque, roofless structure with pointed openings, originally built near Raehills likely as an eyecatcher. The tower is now situated within a tree plantation. Constructed of rubble with droved ashlar dressings, only the north gable survives to its full height. The building's category was changed from B to C(S) on 22 February 1988. The statutory address is Hartfield Tower.
