Description
Probably dating from the 1820s to 1830s, Crunzierton, Raehills House Policies is a picturesque Gothic cottage of single-story and three-bay design. The building is constructed of whin rubble, including the arches. The south elevation features a boarded central door with a small-paned fanlight above; sash windows with a six-pane glazing pattern are present, though the windows on either flank are modern replacements. There’s a corniced central axial stack, and the roof is slate, with a piended shape that slopes centrally at the rear (north) to create a shelter between a lean-to and a more recent addition. The cottage is notably similar in design to Sawmill Cottage. It is located at Raehills, Crunzierton.
