Description
36 Main Street in Kirkcolm is a later 19th-century, two-storey house that features a first floor that breaks the eaves. It is part of a terrace and has three bays, with a harled exterior and painted margins.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a modern door located at the center, with windows in the outer bays at the ground floor. The first floor has windows with gabled dormerheads in the outer bays.
The south elevation is attached to No 34 Main Street, while the north elevation is connected to the taller building at No 38 Main Street, which has a separate listing.
The house features sash and case windows, with six-pane glazing on the ground floor and four-pane glazing on the first floor. It has a narrow gablehead stalk to the south and is covered with grey slates.
