Description
10 and 12 Main Street in Glenluce is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey house that features a first floor that breaks the eaves. It has three bays and is located at the end of a terrace. The building is harled with painted dressings, architraved margins, and rusticated quoins.
On the north elevation facing Main Street, there is a pilastered and corniced doorpiece with a blocking course leading to a central door. The outer bays have regularly spaced windows, while the left bay at ground floor contains a wide former shop window. The first floor has windows with gabled dormerheads.
The west elevation is adjoined to No 14 Main Street, and the east elevation features a gabled design. The windows are fitted with plate glass glazing in sash and case style. The building has broad gablehead stacks, modern tiles, octagonal cans, and decorative cast-iron gutter fixtures.
