Scott's Cotton Mill, Ann Street, Gatehouse Of Fleet

Scott's Cotton Mill, built around 1790 by Thomas Scott and Company, originally served as a cotton mill and is now partly used for domestic purposes and partly as a disused sawmill. The building is three stories high and has six bays, constructed from painted rubble. The southernmost three bays have been converted into flats and feature a porch on the ground floor. All windows in this section are single light with sash and case plate glass and two-pane glazing. The northernmost bays are adjacent to a timber sawmill building, with windows that have 12-pane glazing, some of which are blocked. The rear elevation has a projecting bay at the center. The roofs are slate, with end skews and coped end stacks.
