Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey and attic 3-bay villa

with Tudor details and with good cast-iron verandah. Red

ashlar. Advanced bay left has finialled gable with shaped

skews, and verandah (latter returns round SW flank);

square-columned porch in re-entrant angle with carved lion

over; bipartite in right bay and dormer. Small-paned sash

windows. Cornice and blocking course; unusual end and axial

stacks; slate roof. Verandah has bell-cast roof supported

on stanchions (2 bays to main elevation) and is composed,

partly, of lyre-shaped railings.
