Description
The Walled Garden at Cargen House dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It features a large quadrangular enclosure and includes a picturesque two-storey octagonal pavilion situated at the southeast corner. The pavilion, which is now roofless, is constructed of polished ashlar. It has a three-stage square stair turret that rises above it, with dummy loops on the middle stage and mostly missing crenellations at the top. The openings in the pavilion are square-headed, and there is an iron balcony overlooking the garden on the upper floor, along with a decorative band between the floors.
