Description
Barlaes is an early 19th century farmhouse that is two storeys high and has three bays, constructed from painted rubble. The building features a lower two-storey wing at the rear, creating an L-shaped plan. At the centre, there is a painted rubble gabled porch. The windows are sash and case style, with four panes on the ground floor. The first-floor windows, which likely had their height reduced in the later 19th century, have twelve-pane glazing. The roofs are covered with slate and have flat skews, along with corniced end stacks. The rear elevation is rendered, and the lower two-storey projecting wing has a lean-to addition.
