Description
Ardoch is a farmhouse from the mid-18th century, featuring two storeys and a five-bay design. The exterior is harled with a boulder base course and has walls that are 3 to 4 feet thick. The first-floor windows extend through the wallhead, and there is a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch at the center with a margined doorway. The windows include single light designs with polished margins and 4-pane sash windows. The roof has five piended dormer heads that break through the eaves, along with corniced end stacks, thackstanes, a sandstone ridge, and slate roofing.
At the rear, there is a three-window elevation with deeply recessed 4-pane sashes. A single-storey scullery, likely added in the early 20th century, is located at the back. Additionally, there is a single-storey gabled wing to the west made of painted rubble, along with a lean-to addition on the east side.
