Description
Westwood Cottage is a 19th-century single-storey and attic cottage featuring a four-bay frontage. The exterior is constructed of painted rubble with polished margins and quoins. All openings are framed with polished ashlar architraves, consoled cornices, and a blocking course. The entrance door includes a fanlight and a sculpted panel above it. The cottage has sash windows with small-pane glazing.
On either side of the 19th-century gabled dormer above the door, there are 20th-century bipartite brick box dormers. The roofs are slate, with flat skews and corniced wallhead stacks. To the right of the main structure, there is a single-storey two-bay wing that shares similar detailing. The garden is enclosed by a coped painted rubble wall, which features a pair of granite gatepiers.
