Description

Spring Cottage, built around 1800, is a single-storey row of cottages that has been converted into two cottages. The exterior is made of painted rubble and features single-light openings at the front. The windows are sash and case style with 12-pane glazing, while the lower cottage has one 9-pane window. The cottages have well-maintained slate roofs with axial stacks topped with thackstanes and flat sandstone skews. The rear elevation has been significantly altered, featuring enlarged modern plate glass windows and French doors that are out of character with the original design.
