Description
The Old Market Cross in Lochmaben features fragments from several periods, including elements from the 17th to early 18th century. It consists of four main parts: a tall square shaft with chamfered angles, which is stop-chamfered at the base and set on a narrow square base. The upper part of the shaft may be truncated. The structure is topped with a moulded cornice that supports a square sundial with a ball finial.
