Description
The tollhouse at Woodside Terrace in Gatehouse of Fleet was built around 1790 and has undergone some alterations and additions since then. It is a single-storey, picturesque L-plan structure with rounded ends. The building features a corniced square porch located in the re-entrant angle, and all openings are margined. The windows are bipartite with 2-pane plate-glass glazing. It has deeply overhanging bracketed eaves, a well-constructed graded slate roof, and tall paired diamond chimneys. At the rear, there is a modern single-storey extension.
