Description

The dovecot at Greencroft in Annan is likely from the 18th century, although it has been altered, with the upper part possibly rebuilt. It has a square plan and was probably originally a free-standing structure, but it is now located at the east end of a garage and incorporated into the garden wall. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. There is a door in the south wall, accessed by a modern ramp, and two triangular openings above for flight-holes, with the lower opening blocked. The roof is pyramidal and covered with slate.
