St Andrews Greenknowe Erskine Parish Church, Bank Street, Annan

St Andrews Greenknowe Erskine Parish Church is an earlier 19th-century rectangular-plan church located on Bank Street in Annan. The main southwest elevation, which faces Bank Street, is constructed from lightly-tooled red ashlar, while the rest of the building is made from coursed rubble. The wide gable features Tudor-arched openings and is broken by a shallow advanced central entrance bay that ends in a blind square turret with a bracketed flat capping. The corners of the gable have plain pinnacles connected by iron tie-rods, and there is a door at the base with moulded reveals. The tall outer lights display a distinctive glazing pattern. The shallow flanks of the church also consist of three bays with tall lights, and the building is topped with a slate roof. At the rear, there is a canted brick and ashlar apse centrally located on the wall, along with an ashlar-faced hall and vestry added, likely in the early 20th century.
