Description
Larch Hill is a late 18th century house designed by Alexander Stevens. It features a two-storey, symmetrical three-bay street elevation with classical details. The building is constructed with neat coursers and polished ashlar dressings, complemented by outer pilasters topped with Griffin finials.
The central entrance has a bowed portico supported by Roman Doric columns, which hold up an entablature and blocking course. Behind the columns, there is a central door flanked by two narrow windows, and above this is a bipartite window set in a raised, pilastered, and pedimented wallhead gable. The outer bays contain bipartite windows with reeded architraves and consoled hoods. The first-floor bipartite windows break through the cornice and were given their current form around 1930.
The roof is piended and platformed, covered with slate. The three bay side walls are harled, and there are ball finials on the raised wallhead gablet dormers.
