Description
Adbury House is a late 18th-century building featuring a regular front (east) with three storeys and a basement, comprising 3.5 windows. It has a low-pitched hipped slate roof and stucco walling, which includes a semi-circular bow on the south side. The building is topped with a blocking course (or parapet) above a moulded cornice, and it has stone cills and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, and the interior includes folding shutters. The entrance is marked by a Greek Doric porch with two plain columns in front of pilasters, accessed by three steps leading to a half-glazed door. A front terrace also features three steps leading to the entrance. The rear (west) facade mirrors these elements, with small setbacks on the north side, resulting in a configuration of 0.1.1.2.3 windows, the last of which is in a semi-circular wall on the south side, including sashes and French windows.
