Description
The Swan Inn is a building that dates from the 16th century, with early 19th-century and modern additions. It is a two-storey L-shaped structure featuring modern infilling at the angle. The east front has two windows, a shafted stack, a tiled roof, and an exposed timber frame with close studding and rendered infill. It also includes leaded casements and a large timber-framed gabled porch. The north elevation has a gable on the east side and a central two-storeyed gabled projection, with a half-hipped tiled roof, plain bargeboards, a close-studded frame, and five-light leaded casements, with the upper ones supported on brackets. There is a stable block, which is now a dwelling, attached to the south side. This stable block is of a later period and features a half-hipped tile roof, painted brickwork, and casements.
