NEWTOWN The Swan Inn

GII C16,early C19,and modern.Two-storeyed L-shaped block with modern infilling of the angle.The east front of two windows has a shafted stack,tiled roof,exposed timber-frame of close studding with rendered infill,leaded casements,and a large timber-framed gabled porch.The north elevation has a gable to the east side and a central two-storeyed gabled projection;tiled roof(half-hipped at the west end),plain bargeboards,close-studded frame and five-light leaded casements(the upper on brackets).Stable block(now a dwelling)of a later period attached at the south side,with half-hipped tile roof,painted brickwork and casements.
