Description
Deepnell House is a timber-framed house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions from the 20th century. It is one storey with an attic and features a tile roof that is half-hipped at the south end. The north end has been merged with modern work, while the front gable is adorned with tiles arranged in scalloped bands. The walls are painted brick, and there are modern casement windows and a porch. Inside, there is a massive chimney breast that includes an oven, along with exposed parts of the original framework. A 17th-century staircase with slatted stair rails adds to the interior's character. Additionally, a large mass of stonework next to the chimney is a remnant of an earlier structure.
