Description
Hartfell House, located on Hartfell Crescent in Moffat, is a late 19th century building that features two storeys and an attic with an asymmetrical three-bay front. The structure is constructed of whinstone with ashlar dressings and has long and short quoins. The entrance door is situated under a hoodmould, with a bipartite window above it in the prominent central gabled bay. To the northeast, there is a recessed gable that includes a two-storey canted window, while the southwest bay has a recessed single-storey gabled porch in the re-entrant angle. Additionally, there is a tall paired stack set in the angle. The gables are finialled, and the roof is slated.
