Description
28 Jury Street is a late 18th century building featuring a symmetrical facade with seven windows, constructed of painted stucco and stone. The sashes are set in plain reveals. The central bay, which has a slight forward projection, is three storeys high and topped with a pediment. It includes a pedimented doorcase flanked by attached Doric columns, a six-panel door, and a semi-circular fanlight. The entrance steps extend onto the pavement and are adorned with a simple wrought iron balustrade. On either side of the doorcase, the sashes are set in semi-circular-headed reveals. There are identical two-storey wings with two windows on each side. A moulded cornice runs above the first floor, with a panelled parapet above it, and plain string bands are present at the sill levels. The roof is covered with Welsh slates. All the listed buildings on the south side form a group.
