Dryfemount, 11 St Bryde's Terrace, Lockerbie

Dryfemount is a villa built in the later 19th century, standing two stories tall. The exterior features pointed or shallow-arched openings and is constructed from bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings and strings. The west elevation has three bays, including a canted ground floor window in the advanced left gable. The inner entrance bay is slightly advanced from the main wall and rises a storey higher, topped with a steep French roof that has flanking stacks and iron cresting. There is a mullioned, almost circular ground floor window at the southwest angle. The villa has corniced stacks and a slated roof with a complex plan, also adorned with cresting and finials. The north and south flanks are long and asymmetrical, with a porch on the south side. The windows are sash style. Additionally, there is an ashlar-built boundary wall along the main road, featuring two pairs of gatepiers.
