6 Academy Street, Stranraer

This mid-19th century villa located at 6 Academy Street in Stranraer features a two-storey, three-bay rectangular plan. The exterior is finished in painted harl and includes a base course and architraved windows.

On the southeast elevation, there is a pilastered and corniced entrance doorway with a four-panel timber door and a letterbox fanlight. Above the entrance, a single window is positioned on the first floor, with additional windows on both floors of the flanking bays. To the outer right, there is a modern extension with a flat roof.

The villa has four-pane timber sash and case glazing, and the roof has been replaced with concrete tiles. There is a coped stack to the east and circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997. The property is complemented by low boundary walls that feature original railings and a gate at the central pedestrian entrance.
