Description

Mill Cottage in Torthorwald is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed against a steep slope at the roadside and features a rubble-built structure with ashlar margins, all of which is whitewashed. The cottage has a central door on the south elevation and sash windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern. It has straight skews, corniced end stacks, and is roofed with graded slates. There have been some alterations to the north elevation, including a door at the basement level.
