Description

5 The Square in New Abbey is a single-storey, three-bay cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century. The cottage features a central boarded door with a fanlight above it. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble, accented by contrasting painted ashlar margins. The south gable has straight skews, and there is a corniced end stack made of rubble. The roof is covered with graded slates, and there is a single window located centrally on the rear wall.
