Description

Fair Isle is a pair of adjoining single-storey cottages from the earlier 19th century, located on Marrburn Road in Penpont Village. The cottages are built of stugged and squared pink rubble with ashlar dressings and feature painted narrow window margins. Each cottage has two inner doors, with the northern door being panelled and topped by a rectangular 5-paned fanlight. The sash windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The cottages also have saw-toothed skews, coped end stacks, two rooflights, and a slate roof.
