Description
A lodge, outbuildings, and stables of circa 1901, designed by W West Neve, forming a courtyard arrangement. The buildings are constructed of rubble with red ashlar dressings, and are in an Arts and Crafts style. The lodge has a projection on its east gable with a door and a long mullioned window. An attic light is contained within a timber-framed gable head, and the north side features a swept roof. A bracketed canopy breaks the eaves above a doorway leading to the courtyard. The south elevation has two bipartites with small, leaded panes. Lower, narrower outbuildings extend to the west, with openings onto the courtyard. Two chimney stacks are present. The roofs are slate, though they may originally have been red tiles, with projecting eaves. The former stables and cartshed have gambrel roofs covered in red tiles, and each features a large rectangular opening to the courtyard. The stables also have additional door and window openings. Wooden gatepiers and decorative wooden gates are set within the site.
