Description
This is an early 19th century cottage situated on a slope in Moniaive, with a basement, a raised front, and an attic space. The cottage is built of painted rubble with margin details. The south elevation features a flight of steps with twisted iron balusters leading down to the basement area and a round-headed doorway with cavetto reveals, containing a panelled door and a fanlight above. There are 12-pane sash windows in the outer bays, and also to the basement level. A modern, flat-roofed tripartite dormer has been added to the centre of the roof. The roof is slated, with corniced end stacks and straight skews. A basement door is located in the west gable, and three windows are visible on the north wall.
