Description

South Cottage is an early 19th century cottage row, originally comprising three bays. The building is constructed from painted rubble with painted margins. The corner of the row, facing towards High Street, is canted, creating two additional bays which incorporate a door and window. A narrow pend also faces onto High Street. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and the roof is covered with slate, with coped axial stacks. A lower, gabled shed adjoins the north gable. The statutory address is Moniave Village, North Street Cottages, formerly MacCreary’s Workshop, at the corner with High Street.
