Glen Afton, Dunreggan, Moniave

Glen Afton is a group of five cottages with an attic, built in 1906. It is located between Moniave and Clochnaben, near Hillview. The building presents as a single-story block with Arts and Crafts detailing. The walls are constructed of rubble stone with contrasting red ashlar dressings. The windows are mullioned, some with stone mullions, and are either two or three-light. Above the wall head, the walls are pebble-dashed. The south west elevation features three gabled porches facing the road, along with three wall-head gables. A swept-roofed double dormer is positioned off-centre, with a datestone between the openings. A timber oriel is placed at the south end, beneath a relieving arch. The south east return elevation has two gables and a lean-to timber porch concealing a door. The building has corniced chimney stacks, gabled roofs covered with graded slates, red ridging tiles, and bracketted eaves.
