Hillview, Dunreggan, Moniave

Hillview is a group of five cottages with an attic, dating from 1906, situated between and adjoining properties in Moniave village, near Glen Afton and Clochnaben. The building exhibits Arts and Crafts detailing. It is constructed of rubble with contrasting red ashlar dressings. The windows are mullioned, with two and three lights, some with stone mullions. The walls are pebble-dashed above the wall-head. The main (south west) elevation features three gabled porches and three wall-head gables. A swept-roofed double dormer is centrally placed, featuring a datestone between the openings. A timber oriel, bracketed and set below a relieving arch, is located at the south end. Two gables and a lean-to timber porch mark the return (south east) elevation, with two doors hidden behind the porch. The building has corniced stacks, gabled roofs covered with graded slates, red ridging tiles, and bracketted eaves.
