Description
This is a mid-to-late 19th century house featuring a square clock tower above the entrance. The house is constructed of whin rubble with contrasting painted long and short worked dressings and stop-chamfered margins. The tower has four stages; the third stage has louvered bipartite windows on each face, and the top stage features a clock on each face. The tower is topped with a slated, short facetted spire, with lucarnes near the base, and a weathervane finial.
The east elevation has three bays; the tower sits centrally, while the remaining bays are advanced to the left and recessed to the right, both with gables. Most windows are bipartite with sashes and a 6-pane glazing pattern. End stacks are positioned on projecting chimney breasts, and the roof is slate-covered.
The property was not depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of 1856.
