Description

Mattie White's Bridge is an early 19th century vehicular bridge that spans Penkiln Burn. It runs on an east-west axis and features a single track with a single span and a low segmental arch. The bridge is constructed from rubble, with granite voussoirs and slab coping. The eastern abutment is made of granite, while the western side is supported by natural rock.
