Description

Craignine Bridge is a vehicular bridge dating from the earlier to mid 19th century, spanning the Palnure Burn. It is a single track bridge oriented on an east-west axis and features a single span with a low segmental arch. The bridge is constructed of rubble, with granite voussoirs, abutments, and slab coping. A granite band course runs below the parapet, and the wingwalls are terminated by square granite piers that are capped with flat pyramids.
