Description
93 Irish Street in Dumfries is a building likely constructed between 1760 and 1770. It has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, featuring three bays facing Irish Street and a gable end towards Bank Street. The exterior is made of coursed, squared rubble with droved dressings, all of which is painted.
The central doorpiece on the Irish Street side is aedicular, while a bipartite window has been inserted to the left on the ground floor. The second floor has 19th century casement windows, and the other windows are mostly small-paned sashes. The building has an eaves course, cornice end stacks, and a slate roof. The north gable includes blind inner lights and two circular attic lights.
Inside, the entrance hall features a screen, and there is a carved timber stair along with panelled doors in architraves and some cornice plasterwork.
